Welcome to IPA Games, a game studio trying to replicate all kinds of Romanian experiences into different games for people to play!
The studio was founded on 20th July 2022, when development of Romanian Inter-Regional Railway has started, not yet official, but as a division for games from Infromatică pe Alese Studio Media, which at the time was mainly a left-over from a YouTube channel with the same name, from the IT/Tech genre. RIRR makes up a huge part of the history, so we invite you to also read it's history.
Only Iustinian was part of the team, working and testing different things on Roblox with the game.
On the 20th August 2022, the Discord server was established, and organized until around October 2022, with the first member (not Bot) to join the server being mtg_102938, which has been really involved into the community since, today having the National Infrastructure Manager rank.
By December 2022, the community was growing, and the first few developers joined the team. Today, none of them are still working, most of them leaving because of personal matters. But, the game kept going forward, yet at the same time with the release date.
Finally, the game was released on the 1st June 2023, with everything except a train, which was already a huge problem, intensified by the rush to make and release one, resulting in an unstable Malaxa Class 77 by the end of July 2023.
Meanwhile, the server was finally getting generalized for all the projects and themed migrated from only-RIRR to IPA Games, after a vote decided against a new server.
Later, Kronstadt Metro Project and Kronstadt & Suburbs - Transport Simulator were born, while Pokémon Contar Prophecies was unofficially migrated to the studio for better management.
After that, a long pause settled on us. Iustinian entered an important school year in Romania, so he had to break connections with working, and with that, all the development stopped.
Fast-forward to July 2024, development is back on track, but still the only active developer being Iustinian.
Also, on 24th October 2024, IPA Games Discord server reached the milestone of 100 members. With that, valnius, the 100th member, got a special card and role from us.
And here we are today!
We did not cover special cases, team members leaving, leaking situations and et cetera, but as much as we hate these moments, they are something to look forward to, so we learn and they don't happen again. We are now trying to get people engaged with our games and be part of our team. If you want to look forward to it, go here.
